Responsibilities
General Summary:
This position is responsible for providing the highest level of recruitment and staffing services to Henry Ford Health Systems hiring leaders by delivering top talent. The position will advance HFHS as an employer of choice across the state while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection and hiring process. This individual will interview pre-qualified top tier candidates and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large.
Responsibilities:
* Manages the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and pre-employment components involved in recruiting.
* Consult and partner with hiring leadership to identify position specific staffing needs through conducting an intake for each job search.
* Assist in developing sourcing strategy from intake/consultation with hiring managers.
* Works cooperatively with HR Business Partners to develop and implement staffing plans.
* Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
* Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.
* Manages and coordinates post-screening communication with candidates through the offer and on-boarding process.
* Conduct behavioral based interviews to identify top tier candidates for hiring managers
* Prepares candidates for interviewing with specific hiring managers by providing detailed information on the company, our business strategy, department background, job descriptions, and expectation-setting.
* Participates in post-interview debrief/feedback and post-mortems with interview teams and candidates to ensure the selection of the best candidate.
* Reviews the hiring manager's interview performance with each candidate and disposition candidates.
* Initiate reference checking and pre-employment health screen on selected candidates. Reviews results with hiring managers as needed.
* Extends offers of employment to selected candidates in collaboration with the hiring managers and within the guidelines of the compensation policy.
* Conducts follow-up calls and quality-improvement studies with hiring managers and new hires.
* Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers interactions, and other recruiting activities to ensure a safe and thorough audit if required.
* Ensures all new hire data is accurate and processed timely.
* Works with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to develop an on-boarding plan for each new hire.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with leaders, vendors, community organizations, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility.
* Participates in hiring-manager department meetings to develop a thorough understanding of the department culture and uses that understanding to help candidates fully understand the opportunity.
* Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.
* Works with and/or directs the efforts of a Recruiting Coordinator or HR Associate.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline required
* A minimum of 2 years experience in full lifecycle recruiting
Knowledge
* An expert level of knowledge in full lifecycle recruiting components
* Knowledge and extensive use of a server-based applicant tracking system.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
* Must be Internet savvy and experienced in mining online databases
* Demonstrative consultative approach to recruitment and selection.
