We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others.
We are seeking a Recipients Rights Director to protect and promote the constitutional and statutory rights of recipients of public mental health services and empower recipients to fully exercise the rights.
This is a full-time position, regularly scheduled Monday to Friday, during office business hours. A flexible hybrid working arrangement is available for this position. The employee may perform work from a home office or work site during regular business hours.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
- At least five years of progressively more responsible experience in behavioral health services encompassing several different behavioral health programs.
- At least three years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated work experience in conducting investigations and related report writing.
- Demonstrated experience managing confidential information and sensitive discussions in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated mediation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and analytical ability.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Any combination of education, training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job will be considered.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in human services or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of key individual rights legislation such as the Mental Health Code (MHC), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Civil Rights Act and Amendments, and others.
- Experience in departmental or similar program operations and oversight.
- Experience with policy/procedure/protocol/guideline development and writing.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
