KAMAX L.P. is seeking experienced operators to join their team of talented professionals at the Lapeer production facility. 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for qualifying set-ups and ensuring that other jobs are followed through and completed according to schedule.  Works frequently with sample job preparation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Read and issuue jobs according to the production schedule. Set-up and operate machinery in a timely manner.
• Work on sample jobs.
• Assist other employees in keeping machinery operational and approve a set-up done by other employees in area. Assist in the training and evaluation of employees.
• Performs tooling changes.
• Troubleshoot problems.
• General knowledge of SAP and the worker’s cockpit. 
• Skilled knowledge of data entry in department computer systems.

 ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interdepartmental communication regarding prints and tooling changes.
• Use precision measurement equipment.
• Completes all required paperwork.
• Performs housekeeping on machine equipment and work station.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of prior experience as a skilled operator
• Previous experience in Thread Roll or Cold Heading is preferred.
• Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb and reach.
• Knowledgeable in use of precision measurement equipment.
• Valid drivers’ license; hi-lo license desirable.
• Good communication skills helpful.
• Able to effectively set up and run all machines in the department. 
• Demonstrates a strong knowledge of of TPM/KPM methodology. 
• Demonstrates leadership skills.
