ANNOUNCEMENT OF JOB OPENING
FOR
Warehouse & Grounds Assistant/Courier
HR Solutions Group announces an opening for a part-time (based on an average of 30 hours/week) Warehouse & Grounds Assistant/Courier in Troy, Michigan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one year experience doing warehouse or related work (builder, construction company experience a plus). High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Michigan Driver’s license required. General knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (including MS Word, Excel and Outlook) required. Ability to navigate the internet.
SUMMARY:
Assist in managing warehouse; tracking, shipping & receiving of inventory and equipment. Maintain office and building grounds daily. Assist Dispatch with any administrative needs. Transport office documents, material and equipment as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for administrative needs of Dispatch.
- Receive messages or materials to be delivered, and information on recipients, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, and delivery instructions, communicated via telephone, e-mail, or in person.
- Use company-provided vehicle for deliveries, bank deposits and any other business related travel. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivering goods.
- Maintain company owned courier vehicle (i.e., keep interior/exterior clean, monitor fluid levels & replenishing fuel).
- Provide daily custodial care of buildings as required. This includes, but may not be limited to, lobby floors, doors, restrooms, kitchen, carpeted surfaces and warehouse.
- Provide daily care of parking lot and building grounds as required. This includes, but may not be limited to leaf blowing and snow shoveling.
- Track Warehouse inventory, ordering equipment & supplies as needed in addition to loading & unloading deliveries. Weekly check of warehouse equipment for cleanliness and general maintenance.
- Stay abreast of established safety practices and hazardous materials awareness.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to continuously stand or walk. Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.
- May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
- Will climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis.
- Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
SALARY AND RELATED
Hourly salary is based on experience.
