JOST International, a worldwide company manufacturing landing gear for the trucking industry, is looking for reliable, committed and motivated employees to fill open positions in on all shifts in our welding department at the Grand Haven, Michigan plant. These openings are both direct hire and temp to hire. Applicants must be eager to work and a minimum of one year on the job welding experience is desired.
Required Job Duties:
- Hand weld, robot weld, Mig weld.
- Blueprint reading to include pull and weld parts to print or specifications.
- Maintain high level of quality work at an efficient pace.
- Perform preventative maintenance for weld equipment/fixtures.
- Understand and follow direction by the team leader; follow written work instructions and company quality standards, and play a role as a positive and effective team member.
- Able to use handheld tools.
- Keep work in a clean and neat manner.
- Must be able to pass company pre-established requirements for visual and weld penetration standards and obtain a company welding achievement document.
- Follow procedures & process as indicated by the work instructions.
- Communicate downtime and maintenance concerns to the area lead and supervisor.
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
