Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as brackets, covers, frames and tanks by performing the following duties. Past certification to AWS standards and specs a plus. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly and welding. Lay outs, positions, aligns and fits components together. Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG and TIG equipment. Remove and place goods into bins & containers so parts will not become damaged. Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and reassembling parts. Performs General Labor duties when and as required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions and the ability to read tape measure.
