How you'll make an impact:
The successful candidate will apply their experience in Configuration Management and Development Tools support for the software teams which develop real time embedded systems, middleware and applications to enable automotive and aftermarket products. Provides support for continuous integration and deployment of multiple products across a variety of environments. Experience with Jira, Jama, GitHub, and other source code repository tools, static analysis tools, is required. . This individual will be a key member of the team responsible deploying and improving tools utilized by the software teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team environment.
What you'll do:
Plan and execution Configuration Management which support the full software development lifecycle from initial feature definition through software release and in-field customer support.
Using previously developed tools and processes this individual will implement and conduct software configuration management (CM) and version control of multiple programs in environments including MS Windows, and Linux client/server environments
Support the daily SCM operations, including setting up new software baselines, adding new build jobs, adding new build tools to the build environment
Oversee the daily management of configuration items
Utilize best practices in implementing software deliverables.
Assist in supporting software team as end-users of the software tools, providing support as needed.
Perform special projects, author new tools, and other duties as necessary.
Participate with stakeholders to ensure development and readiness of requirements for next generation software to control Satellite and streaming audio, data services and advance telematics features.
Assist in the development of user interface software specifications and software for SiriusXM Radio receiver products.
Assist in the development of advanced Infotainment and Telematics features for SiriusXM Radio receiver products.
Collaborate with SiriusXM receiver manufacturer partners to resolve outstanding user interface software issues during the product development process.
Provide regular and accurate reports to the Senior Manager - OEM Validation and perform special projects, lab/field testing, and other duties as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned
Collaborate with SiriusXM software team members to continually execute Configuration management throughout the project life and identify issues during the product development process.
Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and coordinate project schedules. Understand the concepts of labeling, branching, and promotion models with respect to the capabilities or limitations of a configuration management tool.
Review tools migration plans
Participate in Software Change Control Reviews and Defect Management Reviews
Review and update configuration management process
Ensure adherence to the Configuration Management plan
Provide regular and accurate reports to the Senior Manager
Performs other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
BS or Masters in Software Engineering , Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
3-5 or more years expertise in software Configuration Management, development tools support, development and deployment
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Apache Groovy
Familiarity with REST API usage
Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems.
