About the Role:
The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist at Cooper Standard is responsible for the full recruiting life cycle for salaried job openings within the Manufacturing function at Cooper Standard. You will work with hiring managers, department staff, employment websites, internal sources, external sources, and candidates to ensure an efficient and effective hiring process for both Cooper Standard and potential candidates. This position is eligible for a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement.
You need to be able to accommodate EST time-zone hours and global collaboration hours.
What You'll Do:
Act as a strategic advisor - owning full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing roles while providing outstanding guidance to hiring teams to help shape their needs and match them to the external (and internal) talent.
Collaborate with internal team members, such as the Diversity Sourcing Specialist and hiring managers to identify potential candidates from a pipeline and perform direct outreach to candidates.
By being organized and efficient in your work, you'll create a seamless candidate experience. You'll maintain clear lines of communication with your team, hiring managers, and candidates regardless of geographic location.
You'll ensure a smooth transition from recruitment into onboarding, partnering with manufacturing leaders and other teams within the HR department.
Find innovative approaches to managing your time given the variety of tasks you are given. These tasks include sourcing, interviewing, project management, and improving hiring processes.
Work directly with candidates during the recruiting and hiring process to keep them informed of the process and be their direct contact at Cooper Standard.
Managing multiple searches effectively and efficiently, optimizing our ATS use, actively building out and managing talent pools as well as external job-boards.
Who You Will Collaborate With:
Global Talent Acquisition team
Hiring Managers to develop salary recommendations confirm hiring decisions, create offer letters, and make job offers to candidates.
Functional leaders to determine specific requirements and qualifications for each of the roles needed by the teams they lead.
Gather all information necessary to create job postings, identify candidates for outreach, and perform initial interviews.
Prospective candidates as the first "face of Cooper Standard" for each.
Other Human Resources functional areas, such as HR Managers and Business Partners, HRIS, and HR Business Services to ensure a positive and efficient hiring process from end-to-end
Tools You Will Use:
Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday experience preferred).
Various recruiting websites - including professional and technical job boards (LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed experience preferred).
Microsoft Suite Programs (including but not limited to Teams, Excel, and Outlook).
Required Qualifications:
5 years experience working in a large corporate, retained or contingent search agency, inclusive of 2 years of experience assisting Director level and above hiring managers
Associate or Bachelor's degree (2 or 4 years) or equivalent experience
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to talk to and network with individuals at different levels and in different industries worldwide.
Familiarity with various job boards, sourcing tools and methodologies, and applicant tracking systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment and/or globally.
Proven ability to track recruitment metrics including candidate pipeline, time to fill, and source of hire.
Proven project management skills
