How you'll make an impact:
We're seeking a Quality Automation Engineer III for our team, which is responsible for ensuring that our iOS and Android users have the very best music experience. You'll have a huge impact on the quality of SiriusXM's growing suite of products and services by acting as a champion of quality engineering. You will be involved in all testing activities throughout the SDLC. You will leverage your knowledge and experience in testing to influence better software design, promote best practices, introduce bug prevention strategies, testability, and other advanced quality concepts across products.
What you'll do:
Analyze business requirements, design documentation, and technical specifications to ensure that they are clearly defined, complete, and testable, and develop automated test strategies against them.
Define, implement, and maintain automated test suites for existing and new app functionality.
Solve complex automation challenges and work on complex projects alongside other automation engineers.
Collaborate with manual QE teams to define, implement, and maintain automated test strategies for existing and new app functionality.
Identify issues/bugs and work with manual Quality Engineering and Engineering teams to triage test results.
Demonstrate exceptional ability to isolate and troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging software testing methodologies.
Work directly with Engineering teams to identify and exercise coding standards that allow Quality Engineering to maintain robust automation test suites.
Create and maintain reporting standards to establish reliance and effectiveness of automation coverage.
Collaborate with other Quality Engineers on major initiatives and feature testing.
Attend design and product update meetings representing Quality Engineering team.
Contribute both to the definition and the enforcement of quality engineering processes and procedures based on best practice methodology.
Provide status updates for all QE/TPM/Dev resources during the testing cycle.
Proactively learn the backend infrastructure, services, APIs, and new testing and technology trends that will impact testing of upcoming releases.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent preferred.
4-6+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or a similar customer-centric technical field.
3+ years of automation experience.
Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as Jenkins.
3+ year of experience automating UI tests for iOS and Android using native frameworks (iOS XCUITest and Android Espresso).
3+ years of working knowledge of building and maintaining test suites for iOS and Android utilizing XCode and Android Studio.
Ability to apply QA principles to develop iOS/Android test cases and detailed test scenarios and oversee their execution and automation.
Knowledge of application development lifecycles and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience using JIRA for requirements management and defect tracking.
Knowledge of TestRail or another test case management systems.
Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and/or Swift is preferred.
Solid knowledge of digital streaming devices and industry trends.
Understanding key business drivers; using this understanding to accomplish own work.
Project management experience, track record of delivering high quality products while meeting scheduling commitments.
