Intervention Coordinator
Position Summary
The College of Nursing is seeking applications for a Research Assistant I, Intervention Coordinator. This position will coordinate and manage all intervention related activities in the field for a large-scale, federally funded research study. In addition, this position plays a key role in the management and development of intervention in daycare settings. The Intervention Coordinator will also be responsible for intervention materials, including but not limited to inventory and will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Project Manager, and other key collaborators to meet study objectives and abide by all applicable regulations. Work hours are research-based hours between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with may include nights and weekends as needed.
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversees and reviews the work of interventionists (e.g., schoolteachers, research assistants) and other support staff as work pertains to intervention
- Delivers intervention at daycare centers
- Informs the PM of the day-to-day intervention activities, when any problems arise, and when clarification or deviations from protocol are needed
- Schedules and facilitates all field intervention-related events
- Communicates effectively with daycare centers to properly plan and prepare for intervention events
- Facilitates calendar of events for intervention at all sites
- Reserves necessary space on campus or at project sites for scheduled events.
- Provides support and guidance to the Moderator of the Social Media Website and study private website to promote positive post(s) each week for intervention daycare centers
- Accounts for and manages all data according to the study’s Data Safety and Monitoring Plan
- Assists key staff with preparation and analysis of all data
- Assists in preparing and editing reports, articles, and manuscripts for publication
- Performs relevant literature reviews as necessary

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in the specific field of research employment or other related science fields; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in standard laboratory procedures and safety requirements and performing analytical and research techniques in an area related to research being performed; may require software specific to the area of research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position may require special licensing or certification in the field related to the area of employment as well as a valid driver’s license to travel to project sites and off-campus meetings.
Desired Qualifications
A Master’s degree in a health-science related field; at least three years of relevant research experience; outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail; superior interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and problem-solving skills; experience with school/community-based intervention programming; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs;
