The Creative Designer will take direction from Senior Designers and the Chief Designer in developing creative design solutions for the transportation and product design industry. This position is located at our Design Studio in Livonia, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Create high quality 2D sketches, photoshop renderings, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Interpret and define customer requirements and project objectives.
- Work closely with senior designers and chief designer on producing sketches and design solutions to meet project objectives.
- Develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing sketches and renderings for presentation.
- Research competitive marketplace to understand current and future trends.
- Support the execution of development of high-quality customer presentations.
- Collaborate with 3D digital sculptors in executing and refining surface models.
- Work closely with senior designers, clay modelers, digital sculptors, studio engineers, and shop personnel for feasibility of design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Science in Transportation or Product Design.
- Excellent verbal and illustrative communication skills.
- High level of rendering, creative problem-solving, and illustration skills.
- Ability to create and deliver customer project presentations.
- Knowledge in multimedia software such as Photoshop, Alias VRED rendering, and digital 3D surface development.
- Understanding of project lifetimes from ideation to completion.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience or other training in digital 3D, Alias, Virtual Reality Editing (VRED).
