Position Summary:
Strategically works with assigned department leaders to provide support in all Human Resource disciplines with a focus on recruiting, talent management, benefit administration, diversity, salary administration, and employee relations. Actively participates in the development, delivery, and maintenance of Human Resource policies and directives.
Essential Job Duties:
• Serves as trusted advisor and primary human resources contact for assigned lines of business/departments
• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for exempt and non-exempt positions with a focus on workforce diversity
• Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for department positions
• Accurately tracks and adheres to annual staffing budget
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
• Involved in benefit administration including designing and implementing benefits
• Keeps current with employee job performance within assign departments
• Stays current with compensation trends and makes change recommendations to Human Resource Director
• Responsible for working with HR Team to ensure New Hire experience is first-in-class
• Complies with all laws, regulations, bank policies, and procedures
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
• Maintains knowledge of requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Provides guidance and input on department restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
• Works with department Managers and Training Director to identify and deliver training as necessary
• Accurately and timely responds to employees following the sunset rule
• Other assigned duties and task as necessary
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No direct reports; however, strong ability to mentor less experienced department members
Qualifications:
- ?8-10 years' experience as a Human Resource Generalist practitioner in a service section environment (preferably within a financial institution)
- Bachelor's Degree required (major in Human Resource Management preferred)
- HR Professional Certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR)
