This position is responsible for designing and reviewing electrical and control systems to ensure proper integration as well as documenting technical details into schematics, drawings and parts lists that will be used in production and service. This position will need a firm grasp of engineering fundamentals and experience in electrical and control systems. The controls engineer will be confident in organizing multiple projects at the same time.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ability to understand hydraulic, electric, and control system relationships and produce technical documents that are easy to understand and facilitate troubleshooting, rebuilds, and production.
- Ability to specify electrical components for use in machine wire harnesses and control panels and integrate those parts into a fully functional control system.
- Ability to write code in various programming languages and troubleshoot machine control programs.
- Work with mechanical and systems engineers to discover improved designs and better production processes for our machines.
- Combining various designs, blueprints, and schematics into one overall schematic.
- Evaluates the existing systems for performance and risk and provides recommendations based on observations in production and the field.
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower, and time necessary.
- Assist with practical demonstrations of proposed solutions to present to other members of the team.
- Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration.

Required Skills
- Engineering experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
