Summary of Position
Directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices and its relationship with lending institutions and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Additionally, works with Engineering, Operations, and Sales to ensure sufficient margins on quotations.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, and long-range forecasting activities for the organization.
- Responsible for completing monthly P&L, Income statement and Balance Sheet.
- Responsible for Annual Operation Plan.
- Responsible for all bank reporting.
- Support Business Development function through quote analysis and support to achieve profitable, sustainable new business.
- Directs the controller in providing and directing procedures necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.
- Appraises the organization's financial position and issues periodic reports on the organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
- Directs and coordinates the establishment of budget programs.
- Coordinates tax reporting programs and banking relations activities.
- Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
- Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.
- Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution and determines their financial impact.
- Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities.
- Establishes and maintains contacts with stockholders, financial institutions, and the investment community.
- Responsible for all interfaces with outside financial audit process
- Responsible for USA and Mexico operations relative to P&L's
- Organize/Approve all financing for Capital investments
- Create and publish Annual Operating Plan
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience utilizing software such as accounting software, Inventory software, Order processing systems, and Manufacturing software.
- Experience with DELMIAWorks Manufacturing ERP (Formerly IQMS), a plus
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Proven ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Effective presentation skills, including the ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Mexican tax and accounting regulations
- Spanish language skills are a plus (not required).
- Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
