DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform application development, maintenance and support specifically within a J2EE technical environment related to EJB and SOA technologies. Use of enterprise architecture, new technology implementation, research and evaluate emerging technologies, strategic technology planning, consulting, software validation, e-business support. Review, analyze, and evaluate specific new and emerging technologies, platforms and services. Assess the technical viability of new products and technologies. Investigate technological alternatives and recommend direction. Participate in developing business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures for technological advances and improvements. Analyze proposed and actual projects in terms of feasibility, approach and adherence to technical specifications and direction and environmental requirements.
