Griffin Transportation Inc, a Grand Rapids based company has a great opportunity for a Logistics/Sales Representative. We want to maintain the benefits of our current environment as we expand and grow the company over the coming years. Position is responsible to organize the pickup, delivery, storage and safe transportation/distribution of customer goods. Essentially this position will need to ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. This position also involves Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers, monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods, while developing business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems and producing solutions. Sales & electronic communication methods are used to keep track of, delivery times, transport costs, etc…. Must, have an understanding of the whole supply chain so they can co-ordinate effectively. To reach our goals, we must provide superior service to our customers and this means employing the best people, as our employees are critical to our success.
