Description: Design quality battery operated electric vehicles for personal mobility. Test finished designs for quality and durability, and develop product improvements as necessary. Create and maintain engineering documentation including Engineering Change Notices and new product release documentation.
Skills and Experience:
- BS in electrical engineering preferred
- 2 to 6 years’ experience in product engineering.
- Ability to produce technical drawings and related documentation with a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, SolidWorks preferred.
- Ability to use engineering principles to make sound product decisions and meet timelines.
- Knowledge of product test validation testing processes.
- Experience with engineering Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Computer skills in Microsoft excel and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Desire to work as part of a team in a medium sized family owned business.
- Project management experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work with Purchasing and suppliers to control costs.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time and set priorities.
