Education:
B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering or equivalent work experience
Knowledge / Qualifications:
The IT Consultant / Solutions Architect must be a technologist at heart and have a wide breadth of technological understanding while at the same time have strong understanding of customer demands and situations.
Minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience with designing, planning and trouble-shooting complex network infrastructure in datacenter/enterprise environment with expertise in Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Sniffers from manufacturers such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista and NetScout
Experience with SAN switching technologies and design concepts from one or more of the following vendors, EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP Systems
Have a high degree of competency in network technical areas: Networking Protocols/Services such as BGP, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, STP, RSTP, 802.1Q, Port-Channel, Flex Link, SPAN, VLAN, VTP
Experience working with LAN/WAN and redundant configured connections such as 10GigE, GigE,T1, DS3, SONET, GTM, LTM, DNS, and Application Firewalls.
Have a high degree of competency in Multicast technologies, Packet Analysis and Firewall
configuration tools
Exceptional communications capabilities, giving presentations, and speaking publicly. Must be approachable, a team player with a strong desire to continue learning and expanding their experience in a highly evolving
Experience in conducting WLAN audits and configuration recommendations
Certification(s) in areas of expertise: CCNP, CCIP or higher preferred
Understanding of controls networking and real-time systems preferred and a major plus.
Specific Domain Experience and Knowledge in the Logistics and Supply Chain Industries is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills and knowledge of software tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Visio);
Strong technical leadership and skills required;
