PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position is responsible for assisting in the supervision and production within the manufacturing facility to insure that all product meets both the company's and customer's quality and delivery standards. This includes assisting in coordinating activities of all departments, monitoring production effectiveness and enforcement of company policy and quality standards while being a positive company representative.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Analyze processes and paperwork to attain process improvement
2. Assist department lead people with monitoring and reviewing employees performance, skill level, training needs
3. Determine labor requirements and make recommendations for effective utilization
4. Assist with coordination of new projects
5. Assist with development of procedures to accomplish manufacturing goals
6. Investigation of time exceptions on jobs
7. Assist in future planning
8. Coordinate workload between departments
9. Process Change Notices through the shop and Customer Service
10. Monitor hot customer orders
11. Process customer schedules for manufacturing information
12. Provide supervision and direction to department lead person
Ideal candidates will have a background working in a sheet metal, machine build, or job shop type of environment. This is a hands on position where you will be continually interacting with the shop floor on any issues, assisting floor supervisors with issues or needs that they have, and continuously mentoring those that report to you. This is a long term position that offers salary + bonus potential.
