The Facilities Electrician will be a member of our Central Maintenance Department and will report to the Facilities Maintenance Group Leader on 2nd shift. The Electrician will be responsible for identifying, organizing, prioritizing, completing, and documenting assigned work for facility related work (buildings and equipment as opposed to production related equipment). They are responsible for compliance with Federal, State and local codes, as well as company and department policies and standards, along with related technical specifications.

- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, installations and adjustments of primary switchgear, transformers, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, distribution panels and associated equipment, controls and alarms.
- Ensure daily work requests and projects are completed through individual or cooperative efforts.
- Communicate with management, customers, peers and subordinates on equipment operation and function.
- Maintain tools and ensure work areas are kept in a clean, safe and orderly manner.

- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, installations, diagnose and correct problems with conveyor systems, pumping systems, hydraulic systems, compressed air systems and lubrication systems.

- High school education and a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrician. Technical school training or an Associate’s degree in an electrical maintenance discipline, along with completion of an approved Electrician apprenticeship with Journeyman certification (8+ years of skilled trades experience) is preferred.
- State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license and a valid Michigan driver’s license.
- A willingness and drive to maintain and advance skill level through personal effort and training.

This position will require employees to be available Monday through Saturday with the department determining which days will comprise the 40 hour work week based upon production and scheduling demands.
