Carpet Cleaning Tech Entry-Level
The position is full-time.
A valid driving license and good driving record is a must.
A criminal background check will be performed.
We mostly work 5 days a week but could include nights and weekends. Because we are a service business, start and end times will vary per day.
The pay is $10.00 per hour to start. There is great potential for growth for the right (read: motivated) person in this position.
We do commercial and residential carpet and upholstery cleaning which involves meeting new clients daily, performing the service they want, then going directly to the next job.
Meeting new clients and making them happy should be a greatly rewarding experience for you. If not, a service job like this may not be for you.
You will meet at the office at Walton and Dixie Highway in Waterford each day. Getting there each day and on time is your responsibility. The cleaning is done with our vehicles and equipment.
There will be on-the-job training as well as some training courses. This requires some reading, studying, and test taking.
Carpet cleaning IS a physical job, but is not overwhelming. But please keep in mind that we do operate throughout the year, including on cold and wintery days. You will also coming into contact with pets.
You would be working with a lead technician with the ultimate goal of working on a truck by yourself.
Some selling is involved – no high pressure sales – but upselling and new client gathering is required and expected. For instance, if we are doing an estimate on carpet, we pursue if the client has a need for furniture cleaning, pet urine treatment and/or tile and grout cleaning. We will train you how to do it.
This position is working with a team to achieve specific results, so if you are looking just to punch in and out, this job is not for you.
You cannot smoke on the job, at the office, or in the vehicles. Doing so will result in termination.
You must have a neat, clean appearance. We are going into client homes and we must look professional. You will be provided a uniform shirt which is to be tucked in. Pants and comfortable shoes are your responsibility.
There are slow times/seasons, but we also do other cleaning and project work which may be required from time to time to round out your schedule.
Customer service is PARAMOUNT in addition to producing great cleaning results. Our clients rate us online and we must maintain high standards at every point of service.

If your interview goes well we will require you to go on a “ride along”. You will work one (1) day with the lead technician to see if you really do like the work and see if would really like to do this for a living. If, at the end of the day, you decide this is not for you there will be no hard feelings. We do this because what sounds good in the interview may or may not seem so good when you are actually doing the job. The pay for the ride along is at a reduced rate. Full entry-level pay rate of $10/hr will begin when you are officially full-time.
