Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director or Manager, preparations, repairs, paints, caulks the building & grounds surfaces, fixtures, signs, and equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
Primary Job Duties:
1. Determines surface conditions and usage to select the correct surface preparation and repairs.
2. Selects the coating types to be applied.
3. Prepares surfaces to be coated by use of abraders, cleaners, spackling, plaster, sizing, wall covering, etc.
4. Performs work in high places, using ladders, scaffolding, etc.
5. Mixes and matches paint and stains as required.
6. Maintains equipment, brushes and other applicators and accomplish minor repairs to equipment.
7. Assists maintenance staff in maintaining equipment throughout the campus and makes minor repairs.
8. Maintains maintenance records.
9. Observes all safety regulations.
10. Assists maintenance staff as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1-3 years in the field of painting
Licensure: Valid driver's license
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of paints, stains, wall patch & repair products/wall coverings & wall covering repair products.
