Summary/Objective
The Laser Tracker Technician will provide custom laser tracker services to measure a variety of fixtures, tools and structures for a variety of customers. They will also produce easy to understand inspection reports that include written descriptions and data tables if required.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for custom tracker services to measure fixtures, tools and structures for products produced for the Aerospace industry.
- Responsible for producing inspection reports that include written descriptions,
3-D pictures and data tables.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment (Trackers, calipers etc.…) to perform the job duties.
- Records hours to applicable job via labor ticket tracking process
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. OR 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. depending on workload and 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday as needed.
Travel
Less than 10% per year, as needed for customer installs
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
College preferred but not required
Preferred Education and Experience
- Industry experience.
- Experience with Verisurf Software needed
- Experience with Faro Laser Tracker required
- GD&T and Blueprint reading skills
- Microsoft Office Suite.
