Keweenaw Title Agency seeks a highly skilled and organized Office Manager to join their in-office team in Houghton, Michigan. This is a new position with our company. The ideal candidate is a business professional with excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. You will learn the business of title insurance and real estate closings, and become a licensed title agent through our guidance within one year of starting the position. In addition to the general management of the office, this position will assist in various parts of the business from conducting title searches, completing settlement statements, managing workflow, and answering phones. The right candidate will demand the very best from themselves and their colleagues to deliver outstanding results.
WHAT YOU WILL DO.
As an Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our office, ensuring efficient administrative support and coordination of various tasks. Your experience in human resources and/or managing an office will contribute to the development of increased productivity, workflow and fostering a positive work environment. A background in real estate, loan documentation, or as a licensed title agent would be invaluable in understanding the unique requirements and processes of our industry.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- At least 3 years’ proven experience as an Office Manager and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Management, Business Administration, Human Resources or similar coursework.
- Experience or working knowledge of human resources is preferred.
- Experience with real estate settlements, contracts, terminology, title insurance and/or loan documentation is preferred.
- Licensed Title Agent, or willingness to learn our business and become a licensed title agent through our guidance is required.
- Proficiency with computers, learning new software, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required; working knowledge of real estate closing/title insurance software helpful; knowledge of Qualia a bonus.
- Professionalism in appearance, presentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written) required.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
