SUMMARY
Responsible for gaining the understanding and implementation of material handling and distribution of HVAC materials. Accountable to learning the supply chain process in regards to shipping, receiving, material control, and deliveries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
- Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to effectively learn supply chain principles and practices to produce high quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Uses a variety of computer programs to effectively and accurately handle receiving, floor stock and requisitions.
- Assists in material management functions – cycle counts, reviews, adjustments, replenishments, and investigations.
- Capable of answering basic questions on shipping and receiving operations – inbound and outbound support with materials
- Receives guidance and direction from Inventory Control Leads and Supervisors.
- Participates in materials reviews and materials risk management discussions.
- Supports sales, engineering, technical support and production staff when assistance is needed.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating product problems and implementing corrective action.
- Research component data and component sourcing.
- Promotes continuous technical and professional learning.
- Supports process improvement initiatives / LEAN manufacturing changes.
- Follows company safety policies.
- Flexibility to occasionally work in other company departments when needed.
- General experience: 0-3 years

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Candidate is in pursuit of experience in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Beginner to intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, JobBOSS, and Oracle.
- Familiarity with the operation of HVAC manufacturing process preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, management, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Occasional work outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms, in extreme weather conditions, and in areas with vibration are possible. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and high, precarious places.
