We are excited for you to apply to our Associate Service Desk Specialist position in East Lansing, MI. This position provides the daily operation of the Service Desk support function for GreenStone.

Major Responsibilities:
Computer and Device Support
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software incidents on client computer devices and open tickets with designated vendors for repair or replacement of equipment as needed.
- Provide basic support for mobile devices to include basic troubleshooting and documented instructions for supported applications and use of mobile devices.
- Assist with hardware rollout, OS deployment, and inventory of equipment.
Service Desk Support
- Field incoming request to the Service Desk as requests come in by phone, walk up, or email to ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues.
- Record, track, and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
- Build rapport and communicate effectively with service desk customers to help maintain high satisfaction with the Service Desk support team.
- Perform post-resolution follow up to requests before closure to ensure satisfied resolution was met.
External Customer Service
- Provide support to external customers with incidents and requests.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer accounts and information by following documented validation methods to ensure identity of customer.
- Provide assistance with secure electronic communication with customers and internal staff with supported tools.
Position Requirements...
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Information Systems, Computer Science or related majors preferred.
Experience
- 0-3 years of technical or business experience required.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft technologies required.
Skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to successfully communicate both verbally and written.
- Incumbent should have knowledge in one or more areas of computer systems, network operating systems (LAN/WAN), data and voice communications, workstation operating systems and configurations, Internet, Intranet and software applications (HTML programming).
- This position requires the ability to provide excellent customer service in a multi-tasking environment and be able to evaluate technical problems, evaluate options and solutions, and communicate this information to staff in terms that will be understood.
