Electrical Controls Engineer troubleshoots MES systems, as well programming for automated equipment. Maintains and troubleshoots databases, vision systems, PLC and robotics.
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve automated equipment including: devices, I/O, instruments, and all other components associated with automated processes to meet production and safety goals
Work with Manufacturing engineering and MES supplier for to provide detailed processes and flows for plant MES system and a hands on approach to detail out work with MES supplier
A minimum of 50% of time will be spent on production floor Improving equipment uptime and contributing to plant reliability maintenance
Assist in Development and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
Ability to diagnose problems with hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical and electronic systems
Design and develop new machine controls including robotic, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and vision systems
Schedule and complete backups of all electronic machine control and robotic programs on set schedule
Implement and maintain data collection system from shop floor processing equipment Improving equipment uptime and contributing to plant reliability maintenance
Qualifcations
Bachelor's Level Degree Area of Study: Electrical Engineering / Engineering Technology or similar. *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for this position.
3-5 Minimum Years of Experience as an electronic engineer, electrician or similar.
3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Special knowledge of electronic design systems.
Ability to program and interface Allen Bradley drives and controls systems.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as it relates to controls of such systems.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming
