JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Product Development Manager, performs safety certifications, oversees the testing processes for internal and external testing, and Product Certification.
EDUCATION / TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS
- Entry level
- Knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Technically and mechanically minded with a basic understanding of electrical products
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interacts with engineering team to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products
- Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions
- Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs
- Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports
- Coordinates required lighting tests along with mechanical testing as prescribed in the DVP&R
- Coordinates UL and ETL certifications with testing labs
- Analyzes products to determine qualifications of Design Lights Consortium, Internal Dark Sky Association, etc. for approval, and prepares applications for approval of products by these entities
- Ensures end product meets business, industry, and quality standards
- Other duties as assigned
