Hemlock Semiconductor is seeking a co-op to assist Process Engineers and technicians in the field to execute experiments. The areas of focus are quality related for key customers.
The co-op will support finishing engineers and senior technician in executing experiments typically focused on mechanical systems. Experiments typically require equipment setup, parts change-out, minor maintenance/cleaning, and trial execution. Trials involve polysilicon handling in a cleanroom environments. Collecting and organizing samples while maintaining traceability is critical so good organizational and record keeping skills are important.
Required Qualifications:
• Must be currently enrolled in college and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours during both Fall and Winter/Spring semesters.
• Must live within commuting distance to the Corporate Site in Midland, MI.
• Must upload current transcript (including cumulative GPA and current schedule) to application.
• Must be able to work 20 hours per week during school and up to 40 hr weeks when on vacation/ break.
• Mechanical engineering, general engineering, or mechanical design majors are preferred.
• Good mechanical skills as position requires assembly, dis-assembly of mechanical systems is required.
•Attention to detail is critical as projects require detailed record keeping, and some lab work.
