We are looking for positive, upbeat couples/families/individuals who are interested in working with local children in their home as Therapeutic Parents for TFCO-Northpointe. TFCO is one of the most successful therapeutic parent treatment programs being implemented throughout the United States, and in other countries across the world.
TFCO offers families an opportunity for them and their child to receive help within their community, as opposed a to an out-of- town or even out-of-state hospital, residential, or group-care placement for children with mental health issues.

TFCO Therapeutic Parents house one child for approximately 6-9 months. TFCO homes receive initial and ongoing training, daily check-in calls, a generous daily stipend, weekly group support, and in-the-moment coaching from the TFCO team that is available 24/7 allowing for quick and effective support for any challenges.
No experience is required, we will provide all training and education needed, plus the support and availability of the team 24/7!
Duties and Responsibilities as a Therapeutic Parent:
- Provide safety and stability for a child in your home
- Provide the child with daily essentials and a home living environment for 6-9 months
- Support the child and the treatment process
- Demonstrate ability to supervise, and model constructive behaviors
- Monitor needed medical care
- Support the child's educational needs/goals
- Be part of a professional team
Basic Qualifications:
- Childcare experience of at least 1 year (Required)
- Flexible schedule to provide youth supervision
- Reliable transportation and Michigan driver's license (required)
- Provide a private bedroom for one TFCO child (age 7-11)
- Live in Michigan within/near 40 minutes of Iron County
- No current foster care children
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Pass a background check
- Have some other source of income within the household
