We have the opportunity to hire a great fit for our Sales Representative role and are looking for someone with very specific characteristics. This individual will be responsible for securing, maintaining and developing client accounts. They will be responsible for prospecting for new clients, qualifying leads and developing relationships. As you would imagine this individual will need superior networking abilities as well as a proven ability to achieve goals and drive for results. Well honed interpersonal skills, a high ability to influence others and strong listening skills are all key to success in this position.
Candidates need to embrace the concept of being accountable for their own actions, be self motivated and able to manage their time efficiently. They will need to demonstrate a consistent bottom line orientation and a drive to advance and achieve.
Specific responsibilities include executing prospecting calls by phone or in person, sales presentations, creation of sample ads, coordinating customer ads, educating customers, customer service, attending sales meetings and personal development. The position requires relevant industry experience (5+ years) and only those with previous experience in a sales or marketing role will be considered. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required but the ability to leverage technology through the use of computers and the internet is needed for the role. Candidates need extensive digital awareness of social media, SEO/SEM, mobile advertising and comfortable with navigating through the internet. The perfect candidate would understand how important digital marketing is to a local and national sized business.
