Position Summary
Provides technical support and train users on computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Essential Requirements
- Troubleshoots hardware and software errors and issues and finds a resolution.
- Resets and unlocks user accounts to allow access to Network applications and resources.
- Monitors servers and branch locations for loss of Network communications utilizing Solarwinds.
- Troubleshoots and maintains V.O.I.P phones.
- Works with Network Engineers to resolve ACS, Network, and firewall issues.
- Installs and/or troubleshoots DSL and cable routers and modems for high speed internet access, both wired and wireless, for remote Network access utilizing VPN connection.
- Setups projector and laptop for Webinars.
- Advocate for end users to acquire hardware, software, and peripherals needed by them to complete their duties.
- Notifies users of the Security Policy that is in place and enforces the Policy to adhere to the Network Access Agreement and the IT Security Policy.
- Enters incidents, updates and closes incidents, escalates incidents to higher levels that need to be resolved, documents solutions to these issues.
- Completes all compliance training.
- Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in a related field preferred.
- Some college preferred. Certifications required: A+, MCP, Network + .
- Knowledge of computer hardware.
- Knowledge of operating systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Good analytical skills.
- Self-starter, good organization.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
- Typical office environment, which includes sitting, standing, computer use, lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying objects over ten pounds, using office equipment, speaking on a phone and serving customers.
