Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Setup / Operator to join our fabrication team in Roseville, MI. This is a contract position with the opportunity for direct hire after 6 months, based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication experience, excellent attention to detail, and a positive, organized work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake press machines for daily production jobs
- Perform brake press setups, including tooling and job preparation
- Fabricate parts to meet gage and tooling requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings
- Work closely with the CMM room to obtain job buy-off and ensure quality standards
- Perform metal work, including grinding and metal finishing
- Use hand tools and measuring tools accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and company policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Brake Press Setup / Operator
- Strong fabrication experience (required)
- Blueprint reading (required)
- CAD reading (required)
- GD&T knowledge (required)
- Experience using shop tools and measuring equipment (required)
- Ability to fabricate parts to precise specifications
- Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude
