As an ALM Administrator, you will be responsible for key strategic projects in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) group within Engineering. This role requires extensive collaboration with Engineering, Product Development, and Supply Chain to help create and improve ALM processes and configure the ALM system, Polarion. This position requires strong communication and technical skills.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $65,000- 140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Principal Responsibilities:
You support complex Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, together with a project team.
You ensure the solution design with special consideration of the surrounding ALM, PLM, and manufacturing landscape
In particular, you design the solutions under the aspect of the optimal economic implementation of these architectures with the Siemens PLM product range, especially Polarion ALM
As a technical expert, you are constantly working on the documentation and further development of best practices and the further expansion of our knowledge database
In addition to the range of content-related tasks, you can also take on organizational and project management tasks
Ensure customer success by owning customer issues, advocating on their behalf to meet or exceed expectations
Provide solutions and/or workarounds to resolve difficult/complex technical issues
Work cross-functionally with peers, developers, product owners, management, and other departments to develop and deliver successful customer solutions
Provide support for customer escalated cases, if required
Take responsibility for continuous improvement and development by participating in training/workshops as required
Manage assigned cases; utilizing RemedyForce to track, document, monitor, and communicate customer expectations, issues, status, action items, and deliverables
Provide backline support by collaborating, assisting, and sharing knowledge with local and cross-functional teams as needed
Work with peers worldwide to provide first-class support for mission-critical customer issue
Address enterprise-down situations with utmost priority to ensure the high availability of Application services provided to customers as per the defined SLA.
Assist in the development, documenting, and training of users on best practices and processes.
Interface with global team members
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
4-year college degree related to Computer Science or Engineering
2-5 years of related working experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Very good knowledge of business processes in the ALM/PLM environment as well as process knowledge in the area of business process analysis
Sound knowledge and interest in the following topics/areas:
Process Models (e.g. RUP, XP, V-Model, CMM, Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
Requirement Engineering, Configuration Management, Version Management, Change Management, Problem Tracking, Task Management, Project Management, User Management
Experience with related tools such as IBM Rational Doors, IBM Rational RTC, Windchill RV&S (Integrity), Jama Contour, JIRA, Cognition Cockpit, Blueprint Software, HP ALM and Microsoft TFS
Excellent communicator as well as have strong technical skills
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical and business expertise
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem solving; self-starter; detail oriented; excellent time-management/schedule skills; ability to meet deadlines; desire to learn
Work hours are typically 40 hours a week, but must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
