Conduct compliance investigations and reviews, lead the execution of routine compliance projects, support and/or coordinate external audits, and lead initiatives for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and its subsidiaries. Identify, track, and respond to business risks to comply with governmental laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
Review and respond to compliance inquiries received by the compliance department from various internal sources.
Track privacy investigations and report out on associated business risks and implemented counter measures.
Conduct routine compliance investigations and monitoring reviews to ensure business processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Administer the companys conflict of interest disclosure and monitor processes.
Identify risks or gaps within the business and develop recommendations to eliminate or minimize risk.
Write reports to summarize any investigation or review findings and countermeasures implemented.
Develop, implement, and evaluate compliance trainings, programs and departmental activities.
Support and maintain the administration of corporate level compliance policies and procedures.
Support and coordinate external regulatory and customer audits.
"Qualifications"
Bachelors degree in related field is preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years of related experience is required.
Previous experience with regulatory health care requirements is preferred.
Compliance Certification Board (CCB) certification(s) is preferred.
Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to process large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy.
Ability to identify, document and provide solutions for problem solving.
Knowledge of process improvement tools and techniques to improve business processes.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time both within and outside of Michigan.
