AFM’s team of professionals is focused on meeting client needs by providing a complete range of forestry services including land and wildlife management, land sale and acquisition services, forest inventory and design, growth and yield modeling, cash flow projections, environmental services, appraisal, forest resource data management and harvest scheduling.
Summary:
Responsible for administrative and accounting support of forestry personnel for a client-based forest management business.
Education/Experience:
Office experience involving multiple types of computer software and evidence of ability to perform tasks with detailed data accurately and quickly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce service contracts and amendments.
- Enter service contract data into the company forest management and accounting system.
- Initiate and track all insurance requirements for mills and contractors.
- Properly code and enter accounts payables data into forest accounting software.
- Maintain timber security spreadsheets and satisfied audit requirements.
- Greet visitors and assist with incoming/outgoing mail and shipments.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must be able to learn and adapt to forest accounting systems.
- Absolute attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
- Ability to develop strong team relationships with managers, co-workers, clients, vendors, and customers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
