POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Plant Manager, you are a respectful change agent who delivers the employee engagement, operational and financial results needed for your site's success. You clarify plant goals and vision, and provide the team with the right coaching, support and resources for them to effectively do their job in all facets of operations from material management, quality, machining, assembly, shipping/receiving and warehousing. Your strategic agility enables you to translate business unit and supply chain objectives into KPI's that are tracked, and actioned against every day. You celebrate the successes of your team members who are focused on:customer delivery, quality, team engagement and relations, cost management, health & safety, and environmental operational goals. You hold your team accountable, but help them overcome challenges effectively through your communication, hands-on approach on the plant floor, analytical and organizational skills. As site leader you strive for continuous improvement by leveraging Lean and Ingersoll Rand execution (IRX) principles, and using effective change management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Deliver results to meet or exceed operational and annual financial plans.
Lead your team to meet or exceed annual objectives in a way that supports IR values, a culture of continuous improvement and a collaborative work environment.
Manage employees from recruitment through the full employment life cycle utilizing talent management, engagement processes, development planning and performance management to support the creation of an effective team.
Collaborate with multiple functions(ex: product management, human resources, procurement, sales, customer service, engineering, etc.)to plan, resource, and deliver products and assigned projects.
Leverage KPI's and action plans to ensure effective daily management of operations inclusive of: material, quality, machining, assembly, shipping/receiving, warehousing. Create an active SQDIP process that you and your leaders attend and that employees lead on a daily basis.
Create a culture with a passion for safety and quality where it's lived and felt by all employees.Build and maintain a proactive, zero-injury environment
Drive transformational change throughout the plant in coordination with business unit strategies and plans.
Guide and support the plant quality system in procedures and controls to improve overall customer satisfaction, DPPM, first pass yield and warranty results.
Be proactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction including delivery, schedule changes and special instructions.
Guide and support plant equipment review, CAPEX investment and maintenance to improve consistency and efficiency of the manufacturing process and reduction of unplanned downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration; Master's a plus
7-10 year operations experience involving materials management, operations management (assembly, machining, etc..) and/or quality management; machining experience preferred
5+ years direct plant leadership experience; preferably in industrial or automotive manufacturing.
ERP experience
Knowledge or certifications in the following are a plus: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, APICS, ISO, SAP ERP
