- Be a high school graduate or have successfully completed the General Educational Development Test (GED); ANDHave a minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in operating and maintaining a wide variety of equipment, such as scrapers, excavators, loaders, graders, compactors, skid steers, tracked dozers, off-road dump trucks, and hook/cable hoist waste trucks; OR
Have a minimum of four (4) years full-time experience in operating and maintaining a wide variety of equipment, such as scrapers, excavators, loaders, graders, compactors, skid steers, tracked dozers, off-road dump trucks, and hook/cable hoist waste trucks; OR Have been employed by the County landfill full-time for a minimum of three (3) years and have successfully completed the County landfill heavy equipment training.
- Required experience must be within the past eight (8) years.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Michigan Driver License within 30 days of employment.
- Must possess a valid Class A Michigan CDL or be able to obtain a Michigan Class A CDL within six (6) months of hire to complete the probationary period, and as a condition of continued employment.
