Position Description
The Senior Technical Marketing Manager is expected to be both a technical expert as well as a Lakeside evangelist who has a commanding understanding of IT metrics, how those metrics can serve individuals in various IT functions, and how the Lakeside SysTrack product line are uniquely differentiated from other offerings in the marketplace. The role will serve as a liaison between Lakeside corporate and the Lakeside sales teams, partners and customers, helping to train and support the Lakeside sales teams and partners on SysTrack strategy, product and competitive positioning.
This person will achieve this goal through frequent interaction with the Lakeside software development groups and the Lakeside sales, partner and customer ecosystems. This person will be responsible for the development of technical enablement materials including demos, webinars, presentations, blogs, technical white papers, videos and field training courses.
The candidate must be a self-starter, be able to deliver on projects after being given high-level objectives and an appropriate amount of guidance, and most importantly, have a strong understanding and appreciation for the requirements of the analytics and IT management market. Strong presentation and written communication skills are a must. Also, the candidate must have strong inter-personal skills to work successfully with the sales and partner organizations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales and business development groups in the development of technical sales/partner support materials.
- Drive technical enablement activities supporting the Lakeside sales teams, including training initiatives.
- Demonstrate technical credibility to be able to create and deliver technical product content on short notice for time-critical sales situations.
Requirements
- Must be able to demonstrate both a passion for business intelligence technologies and Lakeside's solutions, and a strong understanding of the requirements of the IT analytics market.
- Must have detailed knowledge and hands on experience with IT operations management.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the high-tech industry or IT experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in presales or technical marketing with experience in architecting and/or implementing enterprise management solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work across teams
- Exceptional people, presentation and written skills are a prerequisite.
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
