As the Accounting Assistant, you will:

• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Manage daily cash and transfers between companies and corporate borrowings
• Work with Credit Analysts to resolve payment and customer discrepancies
• Prepare and process weekly check disbursements
• Review and approve expense reports
• Analyze general ledger accounts and maintain receivables sub-ledger
• Assist with special projects and company-wide financial support, as needed
• Provide departmental support, including assisting with accounts payable, as needed
• Be responsible for maintaining good files and supporting documentation for all cash transactions

For success in this role, you will:

• Capably handle required administrative functions
• Verify work to ensure accurate results, requiring minimal rework
• Be internally motivated and work well with minimal supervision
• Listen to others, expressing ideas, both orally and in writing
• Give customer needs priority, responding quickly to concerns and demonstrating a desire to assist others
• Possess an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience and demonstrated success in an accounts receivable role or similar position
• Be knowledgeable of accounting methodologies and systems
• Possess the ability to work with computerized systems
• Have the ability to multi-task, problem-solve and work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
