As the Controller, you will:

• Compile historical financial data to aid management in decision-making. Financial reporting includes monthly financial package as well as weekly and daily reporting of ongoing business activities
• Provide data analysis and make recommendations regarding the financial health of the business
• Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting of business operations, including but not limited to: Compilation of information from the various business units in order to compare actual business performance to establish expectations and goals
• Evaluate and monitor the daily cash management of the business. This includes a review of transactional history and using historical data to forecast the future cash position
• Evaluate, mitigate, and manage various business risks associated with the industry
• Working with third-party financing providers to control expenses
• Monitoring foreign exchange markets to hedge against fluctuations
• Manage the Finance and Accounting departments, ensuring daily responsibilities of the team are executed in accordance with established controls and work instructions
• Assist in the assessment of business insurance needs and renewal process, working closely with external parties to ensure corporate policies and procedures are in keeping with industry standards and regulations
• Serve as the main contact for the external audit teams, supplying information for annual audits and tax preparations
• Support other related areas of the business, as directed by the Chief Financial Officer

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in an accounting or financial role
• Have experience leading an accounting or finance team (strongly preferred)
• Have experience working with ERP systems and Accounting software
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
