Position Summary:
Assists Head Football Coach with all facets of office and professional needs including but not limited to: calendar scheduling, travel arrangements, supply ordering and expense reports. This position supports the adminstrative duties of the video, equipment and operations units in the football department. Duties performed are of a complex and varied secretarial/administrative support nature. This job has a majority of effort associated with more complex secretarial support services or program related activities, including handling substantive secretarial/administrative details and duties for a supervisor. The position has a high degree of autonomy/responsibility for complex duties that may be broad and varied or narrow but focused.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Three years of qualifying experience or a combination of education and experience that equates to three years.
Experience with Microsoft Word.
Customer service experience.
Organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to project a positive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results.
Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of specific software programs and/or mainframe/systems skills may be desired by the hiring department. (i.e. Excel, Access, SAP).
Demonstrated ability to design/maintain web pages may be desired.
Division 1,2,or 3 football experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Liaison for football-related administrative activities.
Creates/maintains coaching staff family directory, provides general communication about upcoming team sanctioned events and assists in coordinating general preparation and execution of team activities.
Answers Head Coach’s e-mail and mail including the [email protected] e-mail account.
Coordinates speaking and travel responsibilities for the Head Football Coach.
Creates and organizes weekly calendar of events for Head Football Coach.
Manages and organizes Head Coach and football staff expense reports and general review of football program invoices & purchase orders.
Acquisition of office supplies and business related supplies required for the operation of the football program.
Coordinates comp ticket program for active student-athletes and coaching staff.
Assists with the football staff business and adminstrative needs.
Assists with the adminstrative needs of the video, operations and equiptment units within the football department.
