Spend your summer on our beautiful campus as one of our Campus Safety Officers for the upcoming Interlochen Arts Camp season. The dates of the employment are 6/12/23-8/20/23 (with flexibility. as needed) with a pay rate of $13/hour. One meal is included with every shift (when cafeterias are open for employees). Campus Safety Officers provide a variety of security, safety, and service functions to our campus community on a 24/7 basis. Housing is available for $15/night in a shared living space, if needed, provided you live 40 miles or more from Interlochen. If living on campus, all meals are included as well.
Major Responsibilities:
- Respond to routine and emergency calls for service
- Provide safety guidance/supervision during severe weather
- Lock/unlock exterior/interior doors on campus
- Provide on-campus shuttle service when needed for campers/staff
- Patrol campus on foot, bicycle, and vehicle
- Be observant, alert to surroundings, and provide accurate reporting of safety and security concerns
- Complete written daily/incident reports
- Enforcement of campus parking and traffic policies
- Direct traffic during campus events
- Act as crossing guard for the safe crossing of visitors, campers, and employees
