We are seeking Benefit Specialist in Clinton Township, MI.

The Benefit Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay: $25.00/HR - $30.00/HR DOE
Position: Full Time, Temp- to-hire opportunity

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with new hire orientation
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data
- Assist employees regarding benefit claim issues and plan changes
- Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes
- Distribute all benefit enrollment materials and determine eligibility
- Respond to benefit inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquires
- Process and administer all leave-of-absence request and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
- Assist with the open enrollment process
- Provide necessary reports for allocation/billing changes
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Benefit Specialist experience
- Familiar with FMLA, benefits enrollment, and benefit claims
- Proficient in Microsoft Software – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- High School Diploma
