Training to provide students the knowledge, skill, and clinical training necessary for basic life saving care as required to work and be licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Students will obtain the knowledge and physical practice needed to fulfill requirements in pre-hospital (EMS) and hospital (ER) clinical settings. Students will also obtain understanding on how to maintain their well-being in this physically, emotionally, and mentally challenging career.
- 17 years or older;
- Pass drug and background checks;
- Be physically capable of lifting 75 lbs or more;
- BLS (CPR) certificate active (class can be provided by School, is separate cost)
- Health records for clinicals including: 2-step TB test, Varicella vaccine/titer, Heb B vaccine or declination, MMR vaccines, physical (note from physician noting no contagious diseases and physically capable for EMT work), and Influenza vaccine (seasonal).
