The Dental Assistant program is a 720 clock hours, 50.5 quarter credit hours in length, 355 lecture contact hours of lecture, 185 laboratory/clinical contact hours, and 180 externship hours. The graduate of the Dental Assistant Program will be prepared to seek entry-level positions as dental assistants. Graduates are also capable of filling entry-level positions such as dental receptionist, dental insurance clerk, dental supply salesperson and administrative assistant.

externship, as applicable.

2. Students entering Ross Medical Education Center must have graduated from high school, secured a GED, or completed homeschooling at the secondary level.
