The general manager provides direction, coordination, and consultation , for all functions within the Lake Hawks organization. Strengthen public or private programs. Involve a community of supporters as described in the duties outlined. The Manager is responsible for scheduling all tours for the organizations, while working in an unstructured environment with numerous interruptions throughout the day.
Job duties and responsibilities:
* Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of opportunities within the Organization.
* Survey staff regularly to assess needs.
* Maintain volunteer's assignments
* Ensure volunteers are staffed to support the various areas of operation, to include visitor service areas, exhibits and education, special/sporting events, development and marketing/communications.
* Recommend the most efficient use of staff and volunteers.
* Conduct and/or arrange for orientations, and training.
* Schedule volunteers activities
* Develop and manage policies, procedures and standards .
* Attend Board/business meetings.
* Assure activities align with the mission and vision of the organization.
* Maintain accurate records, and provide timely statistical and activity reports.
Work with marketing, public relations and professional associations to publicize community outreach opportunities, such as fairs, festivals, local markets and organizations.
