Lake County is seeking a highly-qualified individual for the position of Human Resources Director.
This is a full time position with generous benefits. Salary commensurate with experience.
The Human Resources Director is responsible for carrying out human resources, payroll, and benefits related duties for the County and may perform responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, policy development and administration, performance management, onboarding, recruitment/ employment, collective bargaining negotiation and administrating grievance process, and employment law compliance.
Education: Associates Degree or equivalent required with advanced coursework in business administration, public administration, or Human Resources. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree and advanced coursework in Human Resources, accounting and bookkeeping.
Experience: Minimum five years’ experience in a governmental and/or office environment. Preferred seven to eight years’ progressively more responsible experience working independently in a governmental Human Resources and accounting office environment.
Any or all of the above may be substituted for commensurate experience and/or education or a combination thereof.
