Summary:
This professional will assist to accelerate the Company's overall strategic plans through partnerships, commercial agreements and mergers & acquisitions ("M&A") activity. This role will be primarily responsible for managing deal flow activities including organizing and operationalizing cross-functional integration plans stemming from business and corporate development activity. This position will also support strategic activity with project valuation, modelling, diligence, process management, and documentation (as needed).
Responsibilities:
Participate in early evaluations, financial modelling and due diligence for M&A opportunities to align with strategic objectives
Proactively assist in taking M&A opportunities and build deal sourcing, structuring, diligence, communication (internal/ external), valuation, and documentation tools/information to assist in moving a recommendation forward
Lead all aspects of integration efforts, including working with functional experts across the company regarding planning and risk identification
Develop project plans and lead and coordinate cross functional teams for the post-closing integration process
Develop collaborative relationships across matrixed organization
Draft comprehensive project plan for each deal that includes all workstream and functional tasks to achieve target value metrics
Plan, monitor and manage integration goals
Develop and drive consensus around the integration budget for each acquisition which aligns to the plan
Provide regular progress updates to deal executives and key stakeholders
Develop M&A and Integration best practices for the company including attending strategy-relevant industry conferences/ shows and compile event "so whats" as they pertain to Allison's growth initiatives
Manage Allison strategic alliance industry relationships where appropriate
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Experience in corporate development, venture capital, private equity, deal advisory, management consulting, or integration consulting preferred
Familiarity with the due diligence processes, integration and exposure to the lifecycle of a deal
Detail-oriented, inquisitive, problem-solving in nature
Highly entrepreneurial, self-starter, and action-oriented
Hands-on in defining objectives and producing deliverables in a fast-paced environment
A team player capable of working effectively across all functions as well as with key senior stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization and with external stakeholders
Global or multi-national business experience preferred
