Description
Job Summary:
As an Inventory Clerk II, you will maintain paper inventory as accurately as possible, help resolve inter-departmental stock problems, perform clerical functions as necessary, maintain Kronos time reporting for the department and oversee warehouse operations when supervisor is unavailable.
Essential Functions:
Ensure the accuracy of inventory including handling edits from the press areas, analyzing and adjusting inventories based on cycle counts, and creating accurate manual issues when necessary.
Responsible for administering points and keeping records on vacation usage.
Transfer stocks from a full-size iv key to a cut-size iv key that will be used in different production areas.
Responsible for creating forms, logging the paper in and out, and keeping totally accurate records so that at the end of the month a "Usage report" and "Floor count" can be produced and submitted to the Vendor.
Correct on the Oracle accounting software as it relates to inventory management.
Create, maintain and analyze cycle counts done on paper inventory daily.
Manages recordkeeping of defective paper reports and subsequent recordkeeping when credits are issued to accounting.
Issue plain white endsheets to jobs as they go through the tipping area.
Oversee departmental operations while supervisor is away.
Write departmental SOPs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to develop detailed instructions and procedures for warehouse operations.
Ability to deal with problems within our department and from other departments.
Have a thorough knowledge of the AS400 system and other software used.
General knowledge of the plant operation as it relates to the warehouse, issue and recycle.
Knowledge of correct receiving procedures is essential, as well as a thorough knowledge of how to correct mistakes on AS400 receivings and how to correct Oracle to match.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to interface with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis.
Ability to work with limited direction and supervision, while demonstrating good judgment and strict confidence.
Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
Must successfully complete any training or certification courses required to support or strengthen position.
Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.
Demonstrated advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based databases.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma and four years' experience in inventory management or related field.
